We first met when we were just 8 years old. We stayed connected at the hip throughout our formative years. So much so, that often casual acquaintances mixed up our names. We shared lots of laughs and many "firsts" in our lives- together. Bart's Energy was infectious. His generosity had no bounds. He could have and should have done great things. Although our paths were separated for the last 15 years he always was and now will be forever missed. I wish I could have helped him in some way. I regret missing the chance to have said goodbye in this world . I truly hope he is there to greet me in the next. You can finally rest now my friend.. .. My sincere condolences to the family. - Posted by: Bill Ward (Friend) on: Mar 16, 2023

Bart was a professional in the insurance industry. Even in his tough years he remained a gentleman with all interactions I had with him. Rest in peace Bart. - Posted by: Rob Haithwaite (Coworker at MPI) on: Mar 13, 2023

Bart has and always will be the best friend I have. For the past 20 plus years I can't even remember a holiday or life event that I didn't get to share at least part of with Bart. Though he had fallen on some hard times it didn't stop him from being the best friend you could ask for. We are lucky if we get one true friend in a lifetime and for me I was that lucky and I found that true friend in Bart. He may not have had much but whatever he did have he was always ready to share with someone in need. It breaks my heart to know I will never see that infectious smile again. Bart thank you for being the best friend I've ever had, I will never forget you and always will love you! Til we meet again in heaven Barry, RIP xoxo - Posted by: Rachel Lane (Best friend) on: Mar 13, 2023

I first met Bart about 40 years ago when I started playing hockey with Bart & his brothers. We had a regular early Sunday morning ice time at Sam Southern Arena. After the game some of the guys would meet at Robin's Donuts to discuss our win or loss. I have great memories of playing hockey with Bart and his brothers. Condolences to the McDonald family. - Posted by: Marc Ruest (Hockey buddy) on: Mar 13, 2023

My sincere condolences to the McDonald family. We loved Bart dearly and thought of him often over the years. He was such a ray of sunshine and joy. He introduced us to Gondola Pizza and treated our family to pizza nights. We have many fond memories of him. May his soul rest in peace now. 🙏 - Posted by: Darlene Bromley (Friend ) on: Mar 13, 2023
