EMILY MCGEE
(nee WOLIGROSKI)
July 18, 1939 March 21, 2023
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Emily McGee (nee Woligroski) on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at 83 years old, the beloved wife of the late Anson McGee.
Emily was born in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, on July 18, 1939 - the same birthdate as her mom. She moved to Winnipeg with her parents at a young age and grew up in Winnipeg's North End, where she met and married former OPP Officer, Anson McGee from Timmins, Ontario and started their married family life and celebrated the birth of their daughter.
Emily was employed at Blackwoods Beverages for many years as the administrative assistant to Mr. Gerald B. Gray. She was gifted with a talent to knit, crochet and sew family heirlooms which she taught and passed on to her granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter Maureen Philippot (Charles) and her beloved granddaughter, Chloe. Emily was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Nellie Woligroski, and husband Anson.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor at Concordia Place for their kindness and compassion.
As per Emily's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private ceremony will happen at a later date.
We love you, mom.

Saddened to read of Mrs. McGee's passing. I lived across the back lane from the McGee's and was a friend to Maureen. Mrs. McGee was always very friendly and smiling whenever I would go "and call on Maureen". She was really a classy lady and I am sure will be missed very much. My sincere condolences to Maureen and her family. - Posted by: Melaine (nee Pettigrew) (Friend / Neighbor) on: Mar 27, 2023

Emily worked with my father, and I worked at BBL for a time too. Emily would always greet me with her warm smile and I enjoyed her laughter. I liked the TCB necklace that she wore around her neck. I want to send my deepest condolences to Maureen and family. - Posted by: Michael S. Gray (Co-Worker) on: Mar 26, 2023

We were so sorry to read about Emily’s passing. Joe always looked forward to when Uncle Bill, Auntie Nellie and Emily would come out to the farm for a visit. May she rest in peace and may your many memories help to console you. With deepest sympathy- Joe and Pat Lesko - Posted by: Joe and Pat Lesko (Cousin) on: Mar 25, 2023
