SHARON LAURAINE MARGARET TUSTIN
(nee BRETON)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Sharon Tustin, on March 21, 2023, at Gimli Community Health Centre, at the age of 82.
Sharon was born December 21, 1940 in Regina, SK, to Thomas and Margaret Breton, the fourth of five children. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 65 years, David Tustin, her children, Randy (Kathy), Rodney (Denyse), Cindy Allard (Sylvio) and Dayna Cyrenne (Blake), grandchildren, Mark, Lisa (Myles), Michelle (Stephen), Matthew (Devin), Scott (Roberta), Carly, Michael (Jozie), Natalie (Brian), Caroline (Sean), Justine (Trent), Jenna (Joel), Riley (Dayna) and eight great-grandchildren. As well, her sisters, Darlene Trafford (Regina) and Candyce Carlson (Calgary) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon dedicated her life to being a homemaker and Mom. She spent 24 years volunteering at Grace Hospital, where she brightened the day of everyone she met. 28 years were spent at the family home on Lodge Avenue after which Sharon and Dave retired to Sandy Hook, residing along the golf course which was great fun. Winters were spent in Texas for a period of time. In 2014 Sharon and Dave made the move to Aspen Park in Gimli. Regardless of where they lived Sharon spent countless hours tending to her flower beds and yard. She loved when passers-by stopped to admire their beautiful yard. She had an amazing green thumb and could coax any plant to life. While other people's flower baskets were withered and dying Sharon's were thriving and overflowing with buds well into September.
Sharon loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed and cherished opportunities to attend sporting events, concerts, recitals and birthday parties. Family meant everything to her. Sharon had a gift of connecting with people, and she especially loved interacting with new people she would meet along the way.
In Sharon's later years she struggled with health issues that impacted her life and affected her mobility. Even as she dealt with these mounting challenges, she kept her sense of humour and entertained us all with her mischievous and saucy ways. We will miss her immensely.
The family would like to thank Betel Home in Gimli for their care and support over these last three months. To the staff at Gimli Community Health Care Centre, thank you for your loving care of Sharon and your support to the family during this difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Adeniyi Adegbesan.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
