Donald Bruce Jewison passed away on March 3, 2023.
His love, kindness, and quick wit will be missed by his wife Gail Roberts, daughters, Karen Peterman (Mark) and Gillian Goff (Andrew), and granddaughters, Adelaide and Bailey. Reminders of teaching his daughters to play sports, spending summers at Granite Lake, and working at Lake Louise, brought him great peace in Palliative Care.
Don was born in Winnipeg on July 6, 1939 in Winnipeg and then retired in White Rock, BC. He was a university professor for 30 years and Chair of the English Department at the University of Winnipeg. He loved teaching, the arts, and his philanthropy work.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Plan Canada to continue his work of supporting girls and women in developing countries.

Deepest condolences to Gail and family for your great loss. Don was a wonderful person in so many ways, a truly fine man; he will be sorely missed by many. I knew him mainly through his friendship with my mother Johan, who worked for him for several years at the University of Winnipeg. He was an especially faithful & steadfast friend to her to the end of her days. I am very grateful to him & to Gail for their many kindnesses and shared joys.
