AMBER LYNNE MCFEETORS

March 14, 1982 - March 26, 2023

It is with deep sadness that family of Amber McFeetors announce her sudden passing at the age of 41 on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at St. Boniface (SBGH) ICU in Winnipeg, MB.

She will be lovingly remembered by mom Lorie Wolynski (Chris Thompson), father Scott McFeetors (stepmom Carol Boychuk), brother Jack, Baba Audrey Jongstra, grandparents, Don and Bonnie McFeetors, and Gigi Michael Wolynski (Dianne), along with many extended family members, special cousin Larissa Prousse, love interest Vincent Norman, in addition to many friends, including those of Bill W.

Amber grew up in Winnipeg and had a passionate heart. If you were lucky enough to know her love, you knew that it was a love like no other. Amber attended Sunday school and was a member of Awana (A Christian youth group). She excelled in French immersion schools, was part of the enrichment program (gifted and talented class), later to become an A student in high school and receive a scholarship to the University of Manitoba. She attended University for two years and then decided to pursue other endeavours.

Not only was Amber intelligent but she was also beautiful. She enjoyed sports, played soccer and ringette. She loved to sing and dance, taking many classes sponsored by grandparents Don and Bonnie. She sang Italian opera, choir at school and then moved onto becoming a Karaoke queen. Amber loved visiting her mom in Ontario where they enjoyed fishing, crafting, gardening, and target practice. She spent many weekends at her grandparents' farms, Jongstras' and Boychuks', enjoying horseback and lawnmower riding. Grandparents Don and Bonnie surprised her with a family trip to Disney World.

Amber worked in the hospitality industry for most of her 20s. It was at this point in her life that her passionate heart encountered a difficult world causing her to struggle with its challenges. Many members of the AA/NA communities did their best to support her journey. Numerous friendships developed and hearts were touched along the way.

Amber loved all of the cats she had as pets throughout her life. As an animal lover, she spent time volunteering at the Humane Society and provided a foster home for cats in need. To our horror, she even had a pet tarantula at one point.

We are grateful for the exceptional care she received by EMS, SBGH ER staff, SBGH ICU staff, and the Transplant Team.

Amber's legacy will live on as she chose to be an organ donor. Through that generous decision, she will touch many. Family members and friends of those who received her donation will be forever impacted by the improved quality of life made possible through these selfless gifts.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, or Union Gospel Mission Charis Centre.
