ANGELINE STRATULIAK

July 16, 1929 – March 29, 2023

Angeline passed on March 29th, 2023 in Grace Hospital. She was born July 16th, 1929 in Arran, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Mary Smelsky.
They moved to Ethelbert Manitoba where she met and wed Fred Stratuliak in 1947.
She left Fred in 1968 and moved to Dauphin, MB to raise the children on her own. She worked at the Dauphin bus depot. In 1977 she moved to Winnipeg to be close to her children and worked at Manitoba Hydro’s cafeteria. When her father passed she went to stay with her mother in Ethelbert.
When her grandchild (Nick) was born she retired to look after him while his parents worked.
She loved to cook, bake, sew, garden and dance.
She loved the traditions of Ukrainian Christmas and Easter.
She liked to keep in touch with family and friends.
She will be missed by her sons Don (Michaela), and Ron (Margaret), daughter Rosalyn, her sister Sylvia Newransky, two grandchildren Sheila and Nick, three great grandsons, and many nephews and nieces.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, son Carl in infancy, brothers Carl, Sam, and Peter. Her sister Ann Dolinsky, sister-in-law Elsie, brother-in-laws Paul Dolinsky and Bill Newransky.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Grace Hospital for looking after her.
