Date of Passing: Apr 04, 2023
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE (CONNIE) PRYNNE
On April 4, 2023, Connie passed away peacefully at age 86.
Her memory will be cherished by her four sons, Greg, Grant, Ronnie Jr. and Vinnie, and their families: Greg’s daughters, Dominic and Gabrielle, Grant’s wife Shelly, Ronnie Jr’s son Ronnie Ⅲ and his half-brother Derek Harrison, and Vinnie’s wife Jackie and sons, Zachary and Karsen. Connie is survived by two of her siblings, Maureen Turris and Marc Hogue. She is also remembered by Pat Ritchott’s loving family, Sandra and Cameron Miller, Sharon and Rob Romick, Irene Ritchott, and all of their wonderful sons, daughters, and grandchildren.
Connie was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Ronald Prynne; mother and father, Marjorie (Madge) and Joseph Hogue; her siblings, Donna Lamotte and Sonny Hogue; daughter-in-law Vivian Harder (Ronnie Jr’s partner); and best friend Pat Ritchott.
Connie spent the entirety of her life in Winnipeg, where she worked at Safeway Grocery Store and at the Bank of Nova Scotia Data Centre. After retirement, she enjoyed travelling, and she spent many beautiful years touring the United States with her husband Ron in their motorhome (the big toe). In more recent years, she returned to her childhood parish, St. Ann’s Parish, where she was an involved member and deeply committed to her faith.
When looking back on her life, what shines through is her unique gift for listening, storytelling, capturing moments, bringing people together, and so much more. She will be remembered as Connie, Mom, Mother, Memere, Momma, and auntie Connie.
Her caring and giving nature made everyone around her feel special. She was extremely loved by her family, dear friends, and all those lucky enough to have known her. She truly sparkled as bright as her jewelry, lighting up any room she entered.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to all the staff and nurses from St. Boniface Hospital, Health Sciences Centre and Sterling House, notably Dr. Shah and Dr. Colbourne.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on April 12 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ann Church, 271 Hampton St. Immediately followed by a reception at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB.

The sweetest thing I remember about Auntie Connie is that she was just so much fun. Like FUN FUN FUN! As a kid I loved to hop into her station wagon and get a big kiss from her. Her laugh was amazing and you knew when you were around her you were in for a good time! To my larger-than-life cousins Greg, Grant, Ronnie & Vince —you are in my thoughts and you all carry your mom’s fun loving super awesome spirit. Love, Tiff ❤️❤️❤️❤️ - Posted by: Tiffany (Niece) on: Apr 12, 2023

Vinnie and I are good friends. One thing we have in common is that we were both really close to our mama bears as they had such a big influence in our lives. That's one of the reasons Vinnie and I are such good friends, we had a similar upbringing and a memorable childhood. The La Rocque family would like to offer our condolences and sympathies to the Prynne family. - Posted by: Paul La Rocque (friend of Vinnie) on: Apr 11, 2023
