Horace Vincent Moncauskas, born July 11, 1947, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Horace was the only child of Walter and Lena Moncauskas who both predeceased him. He is survived by his Aunt Margaret Foley, and cousins Gail Witherspoon, Grant Chyzyk, David Isherwood and Sean Foley.
Horace farmed in the Cornwallis Municipality until 2011, when he retired to Brandon. After retiring Horace could frequently be seen touring the local countryside in his Dodge Ram truck, surveying the planting and harvesting of crops. In the evenings, he enjoyed cheering on the Montreal Canadiens, and watching Highway thru Hell. Horace was a gentle soul with a kind and generous heart. He was always ready to help out his friends and neighbours.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Brandon Cemetery on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow at the George Brockie Fellowship Centre, 332-8th Street.
