DARRELL DEASON MACKAY

March 6, 1942 – April 5, 2023

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend, Darrell MacKay, passed away peacefully after a lengthy struggle with Parkinsons and dementia.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorane, his daughter Christine Robertson (husband Dale), son Darren MacKay (wife Kandis, grandkids, Maeve and Miller), and nephews, Judd (wife Jamie) and Steven (wife Shaun) Dowhy. He will be greatly missed.

  • Memories of Darrell: His dad Les, manager of Crystal City Creamery with a small boy, Darrell visiting Grandma in CC as a young boy, working with him at the Electrical museum. HydroX and Museum travels with them were always a good time leaving fond memories. Always a smiling and helpful man. Sue and I were sorry to hear of his passing, he will be at rest.   • Breaks our hearts to write this message to Lorane, Christine, Darren and their loved ones. Knowing that we will never see his face or hear his voice again leaves a big hole in our hearts, but it gives us comfort to know he is no longer in pain and suffering. He is with Jesus and his angels and his loved ones who are no longer with us. Heaven has been blessed by another very special angel called Darrell.. He was always such a kind and gentle soul and he will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. His nephews Judd and Steven and their loved ones thought the world of him, he was such a great uncle to them. The memories of him will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace our dear friend.
