ALBERT STURNEY
Peacefully, on April 2, 2023, Albert Sturney passed away at the age of 98. During his long-life Albert wore many titles: Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandpa, Grandpa Ooey-Gooey, and the Energizer Bunny.
Anyone who knew Albert was struck by his passion for life and sense of humour, (yes, we have heard every bad Dad joke). He touched the lives of many and left his indelible mark on all who knew him.
Albert and his wonderful stories will be missed by his sister June Madden, his children: April Braun (Dave), June Shumila (Mort), Rosemary Pfeifer (Gary), Jan Antonello (Neil Martin), May Barr and Jim Sturney (Sue). He filled the hearts and imaginations of 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Albert was predeceased by his wife Mary Sturney, his parents, Bert and Dolly Sturney, stepmother Edna Sturney, his sister Audrey Thexton and his great-granddaughter Leandra Gunn.
We invite you to join us for Albert's last party as we celebrate his life on Monday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul.

I hold so many good memories of meeting Albert in the halls of Cornerstone. He always had a good word for my mom and I. He truly lived ever ‘last drop of life’. I give thanks to God for the gifts he brought to all he met. Peace of Christ be with the family. Kathy Giesbrecht- friend of April and Dave - Posted by: Kathy Giesbrecht (Friend) on: Apr 18, 2023

Sorry to hear of Al's passing. Al had been a dedicated friend to my Dad (Kelly) during his life. Always brought a light with his visits. We appreciated Al's visits with Dad and maybe to a lesser degree some of his jokes. He was definitely remembered for his jokes and hope he didn't mind the groans he received after his delivery. He was quite the character! Often thought about how he was doing and hope his later years were spent well. My condolences to all! - Posted by: Saundra Dukelow (Kell) (Friend from a distance. ) on: Apr 15, 2023
