Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADRIEN DEGAGNE
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, pépère and great-grandfather, Adrien Degagne. At the age of 86, Adrien passed peacefully on Friday April 7, 2023 at Riverview Health Centre.
Adrien was born on January 12, 1937 to Jean and Cécilia Degagne and grew up on a farm in LaBroquerie, Manitoba. He was the seventh child of 15 siblings. Adrien held a special place in his mother’s heart and was remembered as a father to many.
Adrien is predeceased by his beloved wife, Diana, his granddaughter Samantha, his nephew Eddy Degagne, his parents, Jean and Cécilia, six sisters (Laurette, Germaine, Irene, Denise, Rose-Aimée and Patricia) and two brothers (Jean-Paul and Rene).
Adrien is survived by his four children (Gilbert, Richard (Beverly), Paul (Jo-Anne) and Diane (Gerald)), nine grandchildren (Michelle, Melissa (Adam), William, Matt (Jill), Nadine (Dylan), Nicholas (Tanya), Nicole (Claude), Corey (Megan), Ashley (Jordan)), and 15 great-grandchildren (Joshua, Jayden, Kara, Remi, Priya, Max, Ruby, Ashlyn, Cohen, Jaxson, Jace, Lexi, Hayden, Cienna and Hanna).
After a long career in construction, Adrien specialized in finishing carpentry and gained a reputation for meticulous high-quality projects. He took extreme pride in making others’ visions a reality and passed on his talents by teaching all those who worked with him.
Although Adrien will be sorely missed by all those who loved him, he now rests in comfort and in peace with his beloved wife, Diana.
As per his wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, an organization they felt strongly about.
The family would also like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre and to Rhonda and Angel from the Manoir de la Cathédrale whom all took great care of our dad and pépère in his final months with grace, respect and patience.
