PEARL KRYWY
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Pearl at the age of 82 on April 11, 2023. She was born March 13, 1941 in the small town of Oak Point, Manitoba.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years - the love of her life Michael Krywy. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her children, Todd (Sherri) Krywy of Thunder Bay, Ontario and Lisa (Allan) Brown of Winnipeg. Left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Justin and Kaitlyn Krywy and Matthew and Nathan Brown whom she spoiled and loved dearly. Also survived by sister-in-law Arlene Byron, nephew Scott (Sylvia) Byron and their sons Robert and Chris, and niece Stefanie (Jayson) Hencheroff; all of B.C.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bessie and May (Emms) Byron and her brother Alfred Byron.
Pearl and Mike raised their family in Windsor Park (along with four years in Churchill, MB) where they made many lifelong friends through their children's sports and involvement in the community. She always welcomed everyone into her home complete with lots of food for everyone. Homemade cookies could always be found in Pearl's kitchen and they were a favourite to anyone who got them. Pearl took great pride in her home including her backyard garden and numerous flower beds.
Pearl was a very generous, kind hearted person who was willing to just listen or talk at anytime. She always looked great with a beautiful smile and personality that friends and customers were drawn to. She worked many years in banking and retired from the Cambrian Credit Union to enjoy more time with her grandchildren and travel. When her children were young summers were spent camping; many fond memories of places close to home like Grand Beach and long road trips across western Canada and northern USA. After retirement, Pearl and Michael became frequent travellers visiting over 37 countries. She was lucky to see Canada from the east coast to the west coast and take a many cruises and trips to Europe, Hawaii, and Mexico on more than one occasion.
But her true joy was supporting her grandchildren's activities - she was very proud of all of them. Pearl loved the countless hours at baseball diamonds, hockey arenas, swimming pools and any other venue her grandchildren were at. The proud grandparents would often travel all over the place to not miss out on any special moments.
Pearl will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Very special thank you to all the workers that cared for mom at their apartment which allowed her to be with dad until a month ago. And to the workers at Meadowood for the care until her passing.
At Pearl's request there will be no funeral. A small family service will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to madoxswarriors.com

We have known Pearl for many, many years through our children in sports. She was a wonderful human being, very generous, and giving of her time. She helped with many fundraising efforts for trips, and team expenses. She was a pleasure to be around and a great supporter of her daughter's Lisa's teams and the other athletes. She was always pleasant and had a wonderful smile and sense of humour. She and her husband Mike were always parents that you could count on for support and help when needed. Our condolences to her wonderful family. We know how much she will be missed. The Chammartin Family - Posted by: Liz Chammartin (friend) on: Apr 15, 2023
