JOHN W. KRUEGER

1953 - 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W. Krueger at the age of 69. After a valiant battle with cancer, his journey ended peacefully in Winnipeg, on Monday, April 10, 2023.

John grew up at Dominion City, Manitoba, but then moved to Winnipeg to pursue a career, first in plumbing and later in the roofing industry. Together with his children, John was active in Krueger Enterprises Ltd. and Greensite Recycling Inc. He had a strong faith in God, and was dedicated to his family - wife LouAnna, and children Heidi (Andrew) Herrod, Jodi (Jeremy) Kosman, and Jeremy (Uta) Krueger, and five grandchildren, who have survived him. John was also a dear friend to many, always looking for ways to help others and to make the world a better place; he will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road on Friday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Our deepest condolences to Louanne and her family, on the passing of John. We were next door neighbours in Oakwood Estates many years ago. Such a wonderful family to live next to. John will be missed by all who knew him. He was an outstanding, hard working man who always talked about his family with such pride. Plus he accomplished so much with his Company, that his children helped with, by working side and side as he proudly told us, about 10 years ago when we bumped into him at a home show at the Convention Centre. May he rest in peace, knowing he left cherished memories behind for his family. - Posted by: Pat and Tim Pomanski (Old neighbours) on: May 01, 2023

  • My family and the Kruegers were all neighbours when Oakwood Estates was considered a new development. My dad and Mr Krueger did work together for many years and every time I see a Krueger Roofing truck I would smile and say I know them! A wonderful family always welcoming and helpful. From the Parato family our deepest condolences. - Posted by: Sandra Parato (Old Neighbour) on: Apr 25, 2023

  • In 1978 my brand new olds 98 was hit by someone. A few days later John came to my office and introduced himself and informed me that he was the one responsible. Since then I've always regarded him as a man of integrity! - Posted by: John Froese (Acquaintance ) on: Apr 15, 2023
