ELEANOR BEREZUK

(nee PELTZ)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Eleanor, on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the age of 97.

Predeceased by her husband Emil and son Thomas, Mom was the last of her generation. Gone before her are parents, William and Anne Peltz; brothers, Stan, Cas, Edward and Steven; sisters, Mary, Jean, Frances and their spouses.

Mom leaves to cherish her memory sons, Brian (Alanna), David (Sandy) and daughter-in-law Arlene. Grandchildren, Crystal (Ally) and Dale, Adam (Stephanie) and Chelsea (Trevor) Michael (Alexis) and Alison (Peter). Great-grandchildren, Jack, Alivia, Amelia, Carter, Connor, Atlas and Isla; and many nieces and nephews.

Mom could cook anything, grow anything, sew anything, and was always there to do what needed to be done for family and friends. You could drop into Mom’s home anytime and she was always ready to feed you. Fresh baked cookies and pies were always on hand.

Mom worked for many years in the garment industry and yet still found time and energy to host the most amazing family get-togethers especially during the holidays.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.

  • I was very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I have fond memories visiting with her at Aunty Frank’s cabin. She was always a joy to talk to. Condolences to the family. I know she will be missed. - Posted by: Brenda Peltz (Niece in law) on: Apr 28, 2023

  • We have such fond memories of Grandma Berezuk, as my kids lovingly referred to her. She was always so kind, in a world where you can be anything, be just as kind as she was. Our condolences go out to the whole family. She will be missed. Love George & Aletta - Posted by: George & Aletta Klepatz (Arlene’s family) on: Apr 22, 2023
