Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE LAWRENCE
With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Rose Lawrence, who passed away suddenly at home on March 23. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary Ronyck and brother Norman. Rose is survived by her loving family: her sons, Michael and Maynard (Laurie); her grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan (Ashley), Jeanne, Josie, Jennifer and great-grandchildren (Blake, Dominic) and many cousins and friends. Rose, her loving attentiveness, gentle guidance by example, grace, dignity and consistent, selfless, compassionate consideration for others will be cherished, missed and remembered eternally by all those who knew and loved her.
Rose loved and lived for family. She cared for her mother until her very last day, brilliantly illustrating both love and devotion. Rose was happiest amongst family and in the kitchen where she demonstrated her love by creating lavish, traditional, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas family meals extravagantly adorned with a myriad of homemade-with-love dainties to add a loving exclamation point to the dessert course. Never did Rose consider herself and her own sacrifice for the weeks and months of attentively detailed preparations inherent in each and every one of these occasions, complete with a plethora of seasonal decorations. In her ideal, the true love of family is well worth any and every effort. Rose demonstrated her love for family through her considerate efforts and was especially giving and gracious during the important times in others' lives. Rose was a secretary for the Health Sciences Centre Maintenance Department from 1966 until she retired.
A funeral and Celebration of Life will be held at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church on May 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 300 Donalda Ave., R2K 1G7 or Diabetes Canada.

My heartfelt condolences to the family on the loss of Rose who was a precious part of our working lives for so many years. I first got to know Rose when I did some work around HSC Maintenance in the 1980s and then when I started working in HSC Maintenance I worked daily with her from 1991 til she retired in 2004 (if I recall). She cared for everyone and treated everyone with grace and love. It was always sweet when she came by after retirement. Our loss is heaven’s gain with one of the sweetest. - Posted by: Craig Doerksen (Co-worker) on: Apr 23, 2023
