SUSAN DIANNE KAHANOVITCH

(nee COHEN)

August 26, 1948 - April 9, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Kahanovitch in Winnipeg, MB on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

Susan will be remembered by her loving husband of 47 years Philip, and her dear son Joshua; brothers Michael and Neil; niece and nephews, Deborah, Aaron and Jonathan. Susan is predeceased by her parents Ettie and Ruben Cohen, and in-laws Gerry and Risa.

Susan was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She spent time helping her parents run the family’s many restaurants, and enjoying summers at Winnipeg Beach. Susan also had a deep love of dogs, owning many beautiful terriers over the years. Susan adored traveling, with cruises to the Southern Caribbean, Alaska and the Panama Canal.

Susan will be remembered for her career as a teacher in both Altona and Winnipeg, and as resource teacher for Talmud Torah School.

Following a service, Susan was interred at Rosh Pina Cemetery. If loved ones desire, a memorial donation can be made to a charity of their choice.
