ROBERT WILLIAM STORDY

July 27, 1938 - April 23, 2023

Robert Stordy (Bob), born July 27, 1938, in Brandon, MB, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in Calgary, AB at the age of 84. Bob was the beloved husband of Diane (nee Valens) and father of Ted and Jeff. He was a proud grandfather of Mitchel, Kory, Grace, and Kate.

Bob was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying golfing, skiing, basketball, racket ball and hockey. He was never able to get a hole in one, much to his dismay, as his wife Diane was able to do so. Bob and Diane enjoyed wintering in Phoenix and were passionate about spending time with their family, friends and hanging at the golf course.

Bob started his career at Gulf Oil, which later became Petro Canada, and finished his career with Pattison Outdoor. He continued to work into his early 70’s as he immensely enjoyed hanging around with the “kids” (co-workers).

The family want to thank the nurses and Doctors at Millrise Seniors Living for their help and outstanding care.

Bob will be most remembered for his mischievous smile, enthusiastic pursuit of sports, participation in pranks and his dedication to his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Willow Park Golf Course. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at www.MHFH.com.

In living memory of Bob, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB T2X 3J3, Telephone: 403-256-9575.
