BRENDA LYNN REID
Brenda Lynn Reid was born on January 23, 1955, and passed away peacefully on April 20, 2023, surrounded by family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mark and Rosemary, her grandparents and sister-in-law Janet. She is survived by her brothers, Doug (Bev), Brian (Jeannie) and Kerry (Fatu); and her nieces and nephews who she enjoyed spending time with. She is also survived by her cats, Ginger, and Ella, who she loved and enjoyed very much.
Brenda had various jobs until she found her place in retail at Woolco then Walmart for approximately 30 years. She started in Winnipeg then in Saskatchewan and finished in Selkirk. She enjoyed working with the young staff and customers. She enjoyed researching family history and was the family expert. She enjoyed her trips to Mexico with friends. One of her favourite trips was to England, Scotland and Ireland with family.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital, CancerCare and Riverview Palliative Care Ward for their compassionate, and friendly, caring help Brenda and the family received. Thank you.
At Brenda's request no service will be held at this time. A private family burial will be held at Pine Falls this summer alongside her mother and father, maternal grandparents and uncle.
Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Brenda's memory.

Sending condolences to the family. I have many fond memories of Brenda and fam. Mum kept in touch with Rosemary until a couple of years before Mum passed. I maintain a connection to the Winnipeg River with a cottage at Silver Falls, 10 min from Pine Falls. Thinking of you all. So sorry to hear of the passing of Brenda. We go way back to 1978 when I started at Woolco Leila just 18 years of age. Then again our paths crossed again at Walmart Selkirk 2005. Then we both started our breast cancer journey during 2007/2008. You were a trooper as I was, battling that ugly disease with Judith as well. The 3 musketeers at Walmart Selkirk battling our breast cancer in our own way, we all were survivors. Though we lost touch after you retired , I certainly hope that you were enjoying life to its fullest! Rest in Peace my friend! My condolences to all who love ❤️ you so much! You were a great manager! - Posted by: Bonnie Joy Panas-Turenne (Co-worker ) on: Apr 29, 2023
