We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Deanna at Oakview Place on April 20, 2023, at the age of 84.
Deanna was predeceased by her husband Robert Allan Valentine.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Greg; daughter Kathy (Rod); grandsons, Tyler and Ryan (Hailey); granddaughters, Jessica (Freddie), Danielle and Hailey; and great-granddaughters, Maeve, McKenna and Emma. Left to cherish her memory are several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Deanna was the daughter of military parents, Alex and Edith Taylor. She worked at Middlechurch Home for several years and ran Bobby Glen hair salon until she retired.
She enjoyed her music, playing the piano and dancing.
Deanna touched many people’s lives. If she made you happier, spoke a kind word, lent an ear, gave you a pat on the back, shared laughter or love, please pass these things along to others and her time on earth will have been well spent.
We sincerely thank the nurses at Oakview Place for taking care of our mom over the past several years.
There will be a private interment at Glen Eden Funeral Home for close family members

My deepest sympathy and thinking of Greg and Kathy and family at this sad time. Hold onto those memories. We all grew up in Rivercrest. Deanna was a good dear friend of our oldest sister. I babysat Greg and Kathy when they lived in Middlechurch. When Deanna was put into Oakview Place my sister and myself had a good visit with her.
