Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Well all of us at the Winnipeg Trap & Skeet Club are shocked and saddened at Gerry's passing. We had been expecting him to drive in and set up his equipment for trap shooting this spring as he has done for so many years. A well known and respected friendly face and long time member of our club. We will sincerely miss his presence here. - Posted by: Barry Blair (Fellow Club Member) on: May 30, 2023

  • My sincere condolences to the Lacho family on the death of their father, and to Dennis on the passing of his brother. When I read of Gerald's passing, I reflected back to our youth growing up in the North End on Cathedral Ave. In 2015 I visited Gerry at his home, and we talked for hours about our younger years, and the time Gerry, my brother Gord, and I put together a band to play at Sisler High School. I have good memories of those times, and Gerry was a good guy. From all of the Cox family our sincere condolences. • Gerry was lifetime friend going back to our high school and university days. He was a great guy with an equally big heart. Even though I have not kept touch over the years I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences go out to his family and all of his dear friends. - Posted by: MICHAEL MANDRICK (long time friend) on: May 01, 2023

  • Gerry and I first met in high school where we shared a lot of typical teen year experiences growing up in the 60's. Our adult lives took different directions but we renewed our friendship when I returned to Winnipeg. During that time we shared happy times, sad ones, humor, and pretty much every type of human emotion. I can honestly say that I've been blessed to have Gerry's friendship over the years. As I'm sure many others feel the same way. God bless you! - Posted by: Eugene Edyn (Friend) on: Apr 29, 2023

  • Gerry was a tremendous man. I hunted and fished with him on numerous occasions all over Manitoba. He truly loved the outdoors. We also played old timers hockey on the same team. He was a big man with a big heart. So sorry to hear of his passing. Bob - Posted by: Robert Fudge (Friend ) on: Apr 29, 2023
