LOUIS LEO JOSEPH JOYAL
Louis lost his hard-fought battle with cancer peacefully in his sleep alongside his dedicated wife Sue. He fought till the very end and left an example for us all to follow.
Louis was a great husband, father, and friend. He will be remembered as a funny man who always had the willingness to try something new and to put a smile on someone's face. He had a story for everything and his one-liners, although sometimes out there, were always able to leave a mark on those whose lives crossed paths. He loved to travel, a bonfire, a good game, or just sitting around chatting with friends – cancer cut that too quickly, but he made the best of what hand he was dealt.
We thank those who provided him with care over the past years at Cancer Care, GD-6, and Riverview Health Centre. Louis would not have made it as far as he had without the dedication of Dr. Swajcer and the BMT team. With that, Louis encourages donations to CancerCare Manitoba.
He leaves behind his beloved Sue (nee Griss), sons Trevor and Todd, mother Agnes, brother Guy (Carmen), sisters Denise (Rolly), Claire (Ed), and Suzanne (Bert), brother-in-law Paul (Jan), many nieces and nephews, countless friends, and was predeceased by his sister Colette, father Rosaire, father-in-law Harry, and mother-in-law Eileen Griss.
