JANET RUTH BARYLUK

June 3, 1942 – May 4, 2023


Janet Baryluk, age 80 years, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre.



Born June 3, 1942, Janet graduated from Brandon Collegiate and spent her earlier years working as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the YMCA in Brandon. She held a variety of jobs including working at a doctor’s office, machine shop, Wal-Mart, was co-partner in the Hillcrest Motel, confectionary, gas bar and garage business for 23 years from 1991 to 2014.



Janet was also part of the Baptist Church ladies’ group and enjoyed quilting and assisting at garage sales in the summer.



Janet will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ron; son Mike (Tammy), grandchildren Adam, DJ, and Tobi; daughter Lisa (Danny) Yacyshen, grandchildren Spencer and Brett; sister-in-law Isabel Hitchins, nephew Kelly, his wife, and their two sons on Victoria Island. She was predeceased by her parents Nettie and Charles and brother David Hitchins.



The family will cherish Janet’s memory privately.
