BEVERLY MARIE STONEHOUSE

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Beverly Marie Stonehouse, age 74, of Winnipeg MB at the Grace Hospital.

Bev was born in Minnedosa, graduated business college in Brandon. She went on to acquire her real estate license in Winnipeg and worked as a realtor for over 40 years. She was well known in the industry for her professionalism and integrity and made many friends with colleagues and customers alike. Bev enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, especially seasonal holidays cooking wonderful meals and celebrating. Bev loved to travel to many destinations at least twice a year to relax and recharge until her health no longer permitted. Bev is survived by her husband Joe, daughter Alison, sister Barb Elson (Mike), many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Wes and Marion Brugger, brothers, Doug and Jeff Brugger. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place in Minnedosa at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Gooi, Dr. Skrabek, Dr. McCarthy, doctors, nurses, staff at Grace Hospital; her home care team for the immense help and comfort they all provided to Bev. • Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this time of sorrow and loss. I will never forget the terrific memories of the many summers I spent with Bev and the Brugger family at the farm near Minnedosa when we were younger. We had lots of laughs. Bev and I were close friends as well as cousins. Dave and I will also remember all the great times we had later on at family gatherings and visits. May the love and support of family and friends help you through this very difficult time. We know all the wonderful memories of Bev will always keep her close to your hearts. A HUGE hug is sent. Take good care of each and may God bless. • Bev was a kind generous and funny woman who was an amazing gift to myself and Lily for the past 22 years. So sorry for your loss Alison! - Posted by: Leigh (Lilys mom) on: May 11, 2023

  • I’m so sorry to hear of Bev’s passing Joe. I know she loved you very much and wanted to hold on to you as long as she could. Unfortunately even the endless hours of care you provided to her, especially in the last 4 years, couldn’t relieve the pain she had to endure because of her illness. I know that you miss her terribly but take comfort in knowing that you did everything you could to help her and that she is now pain free and can rest in peace. Your family is here to help you through this time. - Posted by: Kathy Beaumont (Joe’s cousin) on: May 11, 2023

  • My Mother is the most giving, kind and generous person. I say "is" Because she is still here with us for a short time. She's stubborn and will pass when she knows we are all okay. My Mom and I are so close and I know she holds a private and beautiful place in her year for Bardie Elson (Sister), Lily Kingsley (granddaughter), and me daughter. An August Day graveside funeral will be held. Firm dates to come. In lieu of flowers please give to the humane society. Every one who knows Mom knows she loves all animals. I miss her very much, thank you Alison - Posted by: Alison Stonehouse (Daughter ) on: May 10, 2023
