AUDREY DOROTHY LUCIER

(nee PROCTOR)

April 26, 1949 – May 7, 2023

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Audrey was born in Winnipeg and was raised on the family farm in Woodlands, Manitoba. She leaves to mourn her husband, Grant; children, Trish (Rui) Goncalves, Shaylene (Chris) Mikolash, Ginette (Marvin) Lucier and Cody Lucier; Tim (Skye) Butler, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her twin sister Luanna Kotelko; brother Alan (Tammy) Proctor; nieces and a nephew along with many cousins and friends. Audrey was loved by all and was affectionately called Momma Audrey by many. She was predeceased by her parents, Bud and Lily Proctor, brother Paul; in-laws, Bill and Mary Lucier, and grandson Rylee.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Palliative Care Program Team, the staff at Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit and the many people who sent their condolences.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in memory of Audrey.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I met Audrey through the Manitoba Genealogical Society in 1983. She was a cousin of my late husbands. We were both researching the same families. We met in person the next summer and we were good friends from that day forward. We often spoke on the phone and I admired and loved her dearly. She had a robust sense of humor and we laughed a lot. She was very smart and an excellent genealogical researcher. Her devotion to her family was complete. I extend my deepest sympathy to Grant, Trish, Cody, Ginette, and Shaylene and their spouses and children. Luanna and Allan were dearly loved by Audrey. We are all richer for having known her and we will all love and miss her forever. - Posted by: Heather Hallett (friend) on: May 15, 2023

  • Prayers to Grant and all the Lucier family. We are so sorry on hearing about Audrey. Our thoughts go to all of you. Love from Linda, Roch, Domich and Joe. - Posted by: linda and joe domich (friend) on: May 13, 2023
