Lorne died at the St. Boniface Hospital on the night of April 22. After months of ill health, and chemotherapy for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, he suffered unanticipated complications. He spent the last month of his life in hospital, hoping and trying to overcome many setbacks. It will surprise no one who knew Lorne that when offered the choice between “comfort care” or continuing treatment, his immediate and determined response was to “keep going”.
He loved life and he loved his family. He died surrounded by love. His wife Donna (née Olafson), son Kris (Carrie, née Epp) were with him.
