JOHN LAHAIE

It is with deepest sadness to announce the passing of our beloved father, John Lahaie on April 30, 2023. John was preceded by his parents, mother Christine Zastrie, Honore Lahaie and sister Florette Wark all from Winnipeg.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Gertie, daughters, Carol Lahaie, Lisa, husband, David Dunn, his beloved grandchildren, Lily, and Owen Dunn and his furry grandchild Teddy all from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Rita Yaremkiw, Rose Wall and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, all from Winnipeg.

John was born in St Rose Du Lac on August 8, 1946. John worked in the construction roofing business for over 55 years and he also owned and operated a roofing company at one time too.

John retired and decided to move to Halifax to watch his grandchildren grow and be closer to his daughter. He loved his Sunday night dinners and will be missed at the table with his jokes and his funny sense of humor. Also, we have to mention his friends at the PPCLI Association.

Thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Halifax Infirmary 8th floor for all the wonderful care.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held in the summer.

You will always be loved and remembered, rest in peace dad…
