NANCY JOAN DEVISSER
To my Dearest Nancy,
I always said that you were an impactful person with a smile and laugh that would light up a room. The day you left us the light dimmed but we still know you are here with us. The kids and I miss you dearly, today is extremely difficult because you are no longer here and it’s been a long year. The poem below was given to me by Nancy about a year ago to use when the time was right.
We all miss you dearly, Love Don; Kyle, Kim, Megan, Mike, and the grandkids (Bailey, Bethany, Luke and Chloe)
To all those I loved and Love Me
When I am gone, release me, Let me go!
I have so many things to see and do!
You must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy we had so many years
I gave to you my love, you can only guess,
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you
each have shown,
But its time for me to travel on alone.
So grieve a while for me
if you must grieve,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while we must part,
So bless all the memories
within your heart.
I won’t be far away, for life goes on,
So if you need me and I will come.
Though you can’t see me or touch me,
I’ll be near and when you must
come this way alone!
I’ll greet you with a smile and laugh
and say Welcome Home!
