HANNAH LETTICIA HALWACHS

(nee ERICKSON)


Peacefully on May 27, 2023, Hannah Halwachs passed away at 80 years old.



She is survived by son Brent, daughter Susanne (Barry), sister Ida, sisters-in-law, Loretta, Linda, Josie and Pat, brothers-in-law, Alfred (Gloria) and Craig (Martha), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, parents, Joseph and Anne Erickson, daughter Joanne, daughter-in-law Corinne, sisters, Leona (Alton) and Doris (Don), brothers, Jack (Dorothy), Bill and Ed.



Hannah was born in Sprague, Manitoba on June 26, 1942, to parents Joseph and Anne Erickson. She married her beloved husband of 62 years, Bill, on July 2, 1960. Hannah worked various jobs throughout the years, from helping Bill with the family farm, to administrative support at many schools and to cooking and working in various restaurants over the years. She also loved travelling with Bill to Mazatlan in the winters.



A big thank you goes out to Tudor House Personal Care Home for all the help, care, patience and support they provided to Mom over the past number of years while she has been a resident. They are an amazing group of people.



In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the future.



In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
