ELENA ROCK
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing away of our beloved wife, mother, and friend on May 29, 2023. She was born in Romania as Elena Liana Timplaru but lived primarily in her adopted home, Manitoba, Canada. Elena was a loving mother, a loyal friend, and the most wonderful wife. She was loved by everyone she met for her outgoing and caring nature; she will be greatly missed. Her life of love, faith and service are values we all strive to match.
Elena was a quiet, talented, knowledgeable, and refined person with a heart of gold and a strong work-ethic. Socializing with friends and family was her greatest joy as she lived to have a good laugh. Left to treasure her memory and mourn her loss is her loving family, including her son, daughter, and husband. As a health care aide at the St. Boniface Hospital, she made everyone feel comfortable with her quick response.
She was an impactful person with a smile and laugh that would light up a room. The day she left us, the light dimmed, but we still know you are here with us. The kids and husband are missing you darling, today is extremely difficult because you are no longer here and is a long year of fighting with cancer. Elena loved travelling, reading books, watching TV shows and enjoyed the quiet life at the cottage.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, June 11, 2023, in St. Demetrios Romanian Orthodox Church, 103 Furby Street.
