Fred Shalapata passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2023. Born February 4, 1949 in Winnipeg, Fred is survived by his brothers David (Sheila) and Willie, and his partner Jeanette Granger (Randy, Tracy and Maximus). He was predeceased by his sister Linda.
Fred worked for the Department of National Defence in the grounds keeping area. Fred enjoyed NASCAR, garage sales and building model car kits.
There will be no formal funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future time.

  • I just heard, and my heart is 💔. Fred was my brother-in-law 😢. He was the best guy ever I was young and loved being around Fred and his family. I found Fred years later and we had such a good talk and he told me to keep in touch 😪 but I lost his phone number. I was so happy to see he was happy bless the lady who made him happy 😊 Fred I will never ever forget you, you were the best brother-in-law in the whole universe ❤️ I am crying writing this as I can't believe you're gone 😪 David Wille I miss you all.
