DENNIS BURR
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Friend. Dennis passed away suddenly at his residence of 43 years in St. Andrews, Manitoba.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of nearly 52 years, Diane; sons, Joel (Tammy), Ryan and Mark (Arelis); and grandchildren, Ashlynn and Grayson. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Randy Banera and Marilyn Falk, as well as their children. He also leaves his dog Coco.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Eileen, brothers-in-law, Nelson Poets, Jerry Banera and Dave Falk, and nephew Myles Banera. Dennis was born on Valour Road in Winnipeg, MB. Dennis had a fulfilling career in transportation and logistics. He worked at CN Railway after high school, was the Traffic Manager of Manitoba Rolling Mills in Selkirk during the 1970s and 1980s and then worked in the Traffic Department at Bristol Aerospace in the 1990s. Dennis then began his own trucking company Frontline Freight Systems with his three sons almost 20 years ago.
Dennis truly enjoyed getting up and going to work every morning and running his company until his passing. Dennis was always fair and generous with his employees and he had no interest in retiring. He loved his family, AC/ DC, the Rolling Stones, and his Corvette Z06. Dennis always was willing to help anyone in need and offered thoughtful advice to many.
He leaves many friends from across North America. Dennis had an incredible sense of humour and an infectious laugh. He will be missed.
A service of remembrance will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Thursday June 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

So saddened to hear of Dennis's passing. I remember working at Seven Oaks Hospital a long time ago & there was a float nurse sent to us on the very busy Medical Unit 5 & 6. Noticing that her last name was Burr I asked her if she knew of a Henry Burr? She said yes & we discovered after some conversation that our husbands were cousins! What a surprise for both of us. Sincere condolences to you Diane & your family. - Posted by: Donna Honey ( Family ) on: Jun 10, 2023

While Dennis and I lost touch many years ago, I remember well his commitments to the sport of softball and his strong support during my time as on the executive of the Manitoba Softball Association. I often would think of him when driving through the St. Andrews and Selkirk area en route to our cottage in Matlock. - Posted by: Kent Morgan (Softball Friend) on: Jun 08, 2023
