Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA MARIE EUGENIE POITRAS
With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Linda on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Pinawa Hospital.
Linda leaves behind her son Jason (Jennifer Morton), sisters, Bella Vincent, Jeanette Vincent, Julie Lavoie (Willie), sister-in-law Lissa Vincent (late husband Donald), brother-in-law Robert (Jeanne), sister-in-law Marlene Pelton (Mark), son-in-law Dwayne Houston, and close friend Dolores Kemball. Sadly, Linda was predeceased by her husband, John, of 48 years, and children, Kevin John and Debra Michelle.
Linda was born in Pine Falls on December 27, 1947, and grew up and resided in St-Georges, MB. From an early age, Linda was nurturing and honest, always treating everyone with love and respect. She was a great wife and homemaker, enjoyed decorating her house, and loved pets. She was a skilled gardener, leading to her owning and running a successful greenhouse business with John for several years. Above all else, her proudest accomplishment was being a mother. Despite some heartaches she experienced in life, Linda found strength in her family, friends, and the cherished memories they shared.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pinawa Hospital for the excellent care and compassion that Linda received in her final days.
We will celebrate Linda’s life at a memorial service at St. Georges Roman Catholic Church on June 10 at 11:00 a.m. All are warmly invited to attend.
In place of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in memory of Linda Poitras.

Spent 15 years next door to your Mom, Jason. Your Dad was such a good neighbor & friend to my darling Percy. We were also honoured to meet Debbie. (Unfortunately did not meet your brother.) I was passing through St. George’s on Thursday, June 1st and considered stopping in, but saw a vehicle in the yard and didn’t want to disturb her. Also been dreaming lots about them recently. They made a great impact on our lives. Condolences to you & to all who mourn their passing. (Thinking of you, Dolores). RIP dear family. - Posted by: Caroline Stevenson (Former neighbour) on: Jun 10, 2023
