DAVID BURTON CAMERON


David Burton Cameron died in Edmonton on June 4, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born on February 12, 1943 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, to Keith Hunter and Catherine Beatrice Cameron, while his father was serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force at Station MacDonald, Manitoba.



David was the devoted and loving husband of his late wife, Marilyn Spicer, his soulmate and best friend.



He is survived by daughters Elizabeth Lynn Asham (Darcy) and Roberta Catherine Cameron; son Bruce William Cameron (Kerri); five grandsons Cameron, Michael, Judd, Cole and Daniel; step-daughter Lesli Flaman (Becky Ruscher); step-son Chris Flaman-Haley; two step-grandsons Nicklaus and Robert; step-granddaughter Alexa (Aiden Doel), and their mother Kathy.



Other cherished family members are his brothers the late Keith (Joan Brooks), Graham (Darlene), and Bruce (Barb); nieces Lisa Cameron, Stacey Cameron (Ken), Lindsay Cameron; nephews Scott, Colin (Carmen), and Brent Cameron (Kim); brother-in-law Donald Spicer (Anita), and their families.



There are many other family members and friends to remember the good times with love.



David requested that no funeral or reception be held, but asked that consideration be given to a donation to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
