GERALD EDWARD PAGE
It is with profound sadness that we announce our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Gerry Page, passed away on June 5, 2023 at the age of 81 years old.
Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife and best friend, Karen, of 57 years, his son, Michael, daughters, Michelle and Kelly (Paul), and grandsons, Jordan, Eric, Kristofer, and Jarrett, and "his dog" Coco.
Gerry spent 32 years with the Winnipeg Fire Department, and retired at the rank of Captain in 1996.
Gerry was the kindest person in the world and lived for his family. He was always there for them, making sure they were taken care of.
In keeping with Gerry's wishes, cremation will take place with no funeral service. In lieu of flowers and in honour of Gerry's love for animals, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Gerry was a quiet, predictable, reassurance on the fireground, and in the hall for the twenty years that I worked with him on #1 shift, mostly at #1 Firehall. What most people won't know is that Gerry literally saved my life on two occasions. Once, early in my career, around 1978, when ordered into a cockloft by a District Chief who was less than intelligent, and had no concern for his firefighters, I dutifully entered, sans mask, because it wouldn't fit. Gerry, concerned, stayed at the roof opening to ensure, that when I crawled in, if I was overcome by carbon monoxide, he'd pull me out by my feet. That's exactly what transpired, and when I woke up in hospital, after being transfused, he was the first face I saw. Thanks Gerry. You were truly a great firefighter and friend. I think of you, often. - Posted by: Ken McMullen (Co-worker) on: Jul 09, 2023
