Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCILLE ANDREWS
On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, with her devoted daughter Lesly, by her side.
She is survived by her daughters, April (Doug), Gayle (Gerald) and Lesly (Jerry); grandsons, Rauri (Pam) and Maxwell (Megan) and great-grandchildren, Addison, Ranald and Jazz.
She was predeceased by her husband Guy Ewart Andrews; as well as her brothers, Ian and Ronald MacDonald.
Born in Ontario to Hugh and Donalda, she moved for work to Cornwall then Montreal, where she met Guy. Lucille and Guy moved the family to Winnipeg in 1969 and Manitoba was her adopted home, by her choice. After moving to Winnipeg, Lucille had a successful career as a property manager and later worked for the Manitoba Office of the Rentalsman. She enjoyed garage sales, curling, golf, swimming at Grand Beach, bridge parties and travelling throughout Europe with family and friends. Her extraordinary perseverance and fortitude pulled the family through the hardest of times. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she celebrated the good times as well, often with a hearty roast beef dinner on Sunday, that featured homemade pie.
Lucille had a saying; “There is nothing wrong with leading an ordinary life.”

I’m so sorry to hear of Lucille’s passing. Condolences to her family. I had the pleasure of working with Lucille at the Rentalsman’s Office. She was a lovely person and had the patience of a saint as she taught me and several co-workers how to play bridge on lunch breaks. We shared many laughs - great memories. - Posted by: Joanne Zarichney (Colleague at the Rentalsman’s Office) on: Jun 15, 2023
