It is with great sadness that the family of Maria announces her passing on June 12, 2023. Maria passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She was predeceased by her father Carmelo Costanzo, niece Francesca C. (Lao), brother Salvator, uncles Paolo and Antonio, as well as aunt Paola. Maria is survived and lovingly remembered by her mother Cecilia, sister Carmela, brother-in-law Corrado and her nephew Corrado Carmelo Lao, cousin Sal as well as other cousins here in Winnipeg and in Sicily, Italy.
The family would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg (West 1) for all the exceptional care given to Maria.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation of your choice.
Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to service at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue, with interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.

Maria and I worked at the same daycare for many years. She was always kind and fun to be around. I didn't realize she passed and only saw it today in the obit for her mom.
