DEBORAH MARIE HARDY

May 20, 1958 – May 26, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Deb. She is now with her father whom she missed dearly.

She was a loving daughter to Joyce, sister to Darrell (Erica), Cameron (Kathie), partner Peter.

As per her wishes, a family interment will take place at a later date.

Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter.

A beautiful life that came to an end, she died as she lived, everyone's friend.

In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget.

  • Sad and at a loss for words, for my dear friend Deb of over 44 years. Our friendship started at The Bay. We hit it off right away. I was her maid of honour at her wedding. So, many great memories that will live on. My condolences to Joyce and family. A special friend is hard to find, hard to lose and impossible to forget. True friends are never apart, maybe by distance, but not by the heart! Taken too soon from us Dear Deb rest in peace ❤️ - Posted by: Melanie Moss (Close friend) on: Jul 14, 2023

  • I am so very saddened to hear of Deb's passing. My condolences to her family and friends. I got to know Deb through the marriage to my husband's brother. She was always so much fun to be around. We visited her house in the country many times and she always had the coffee on for us. She celebrated many Christmas, Easter, kids birthday celebrations with us. She will be dearly missed. - Posted by: Judy Robidoux (sister in law by marriage) on: Jul 06, 2023

  • My heart is broken, the world has lost a wonderful Daughter, sister and great friend to all who knew her. Deb was my best friend altho she had many best friends she holds a special place in my heart. She was my phone buddy for all my drives home from the country. My support buddy for all the changes in my life recently. Always an encouraging word when times got tough. I have lost a very dear friend who I have known for over 40 years but her family has lost more. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time. Deb my friend you will always be in my thoughts. 💞 - Posted by: Lori Anderson (Friend) on: Jul 01, 2023

  • I was saddened to hear that Debbie has passed. I met her when I was in grade 4 in Robert Browning School. I remember she had moved from Brandon to Winnipeg. Although I never kept in contact, she looked absolutely wonder. Condolences to the family. - Posted by: Phyllis Corriveau [Conn] (student) on: Jun 20, 2023

  • I have known Deborah for 40 years and we called each other sisters. Over the years we developed a deep respect and love for each other and I will miss her bubbly, positive, very big personality and our lunches together. My prayers are with Joyce and the rest of the family at this very sad time. - Posted by: Jen Watt (Friends for 40 years) on: Jun 18, 2023

  • I have been friends with Deb for 30 years and my heart is shattered at loosing her. I will forever miss her smiling face, her boisterous laughter and her saying “ok so..” I am selfish in knowing I will never hear her voice again. But I am so sorry for Joyce who has her only daughter and for her brothers. She will be forever in my thoughts and my friend. ❤️ - Posted by: Nadine Gustavson (Friend ) on: Jun 18, 2023

  • I am saddened to hear that my dear cousin Deb passed away so suddenly. My thoughts and prayers are with you Auntie Joyce and with my Hardy cousins. I remember our family get togethers when we were young and outrageously fun times when we both lived in Vancouver. Deb briefly dated a friend of mine and we double dated and enjoyed our single days in our early 20s on the Westcoast. That was many decades ago but I will always fondly remember her charm, humour, open heart, and endless smiles. - Posted by: Pam Kempthorne (Cousin) on: Jun 17, 2023
