Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • October 2024 and still think of you often. I just read your Grandson Craig's tribute and it was heart warming. I'm so pleased that he shared his fond memories of you! There are lots more out there and I would encourage all who would to do so. There are always things we wish we could have accomplished in our life times. Our situations are often more complicated than we can say. I do know that you would have tried to be a good Dad and a good Grandpa and Uncle but you left us too soon. You were a good brother. And like you said before you left us I do indeed look around my house and home and see the things you did for us here. We here must continue on and work at being the best we can be with large measures of God's grace and guidance. This imperfect guy thanks God for your memory and legacy. Say Hi to Mom and Dad! The Keg is still in business. - Posted by: Greg Keena (Brother) on: Oct 25, 2024

  • Grandpa, I was away working when I received the news you had left us. The time we spent together whether it be at the cabin, on the boat fishing, or just at the house in the city, I will cherish every moment. I will try and teach my son your great grandson everything you taught me, wether it be how to cast a fishing rod, re-line a fishing rod, do some carpentry or just be all around great person, you taught me tons about fishing that I will never forget. Taught me how to fillet a (jack fish) even though I’m still learning that one. I hope you’re having a wonderful time up there say hello to everyone up there for me. Take care for now and see you on our next fishing trip. - Posted by: Craig Keena (Eldest Grandson) on: Jul 29, 2024

  • You surprised us all ! We were supposed to have breakfast that day but I had a little cold so I thought it would be safer to leave it until next Tuesday at the Sal's. That was the day you went home to heaven. You never made it out to that cabin I needed you to look at and help me with on the hundred things it needs done. You would have been worth you weight in gold out there. I'll do the best I can without having a big brother to bounce stuff off of. I'll keep that Highlander until I'm an old (older) man and always remember to try to keep it as clean and maintained as well as you did. We laughed and teased each other over politics and other stuff. I told you to be praying for me as long as you're still breathing and still need you to do that. Wish you were to go to the Keg with the 3 of us. Say Hi to Mom and Dad. Miss you !! - Posted by: Greg Keena (Brother ) on: Jun 22, 2023
