VIVIAN VERNA MCPHAIL
Vivian McPhail of Selkirk, Manitoba, passed away on May 25, 2023.
She was predeceased by her parents, Allan and Alice; her siblings, Shirley, Kernie and Ernie; and her husband Ken. She is survived by her son Kevin; her siblings, Cindy, Garry and Wayne; along with many nieces and nephews.
Vivian would often reminisce about her home in Transcona, how she liked to bake and the BBQ she purchased as a gift for her husband. She would also remark about the time she caught two fish at Curries landing, and how good they tasted. Most recently, she enjoyed playing bingo (winning, specifically), watching hockey or baseball and listening to country music.
Vivian’s family would like to extend our appreciation to the staff of the Selkirk Mental Health Centre Geriatric Program for providing a caring home for Vivian where she could live, laugh and enjoy her favourite shows, music and games. Sincere thanks are also given to the team at Selkirk Regional Health Centre who cared for Vivian in her final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Vivian’s memory can be made to the Brain Canada Foundation, to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, or to a mental health support charity of your choice.
