ALICE JOYCE WOROBEY

(LINDSAY)

Joyce passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023, at the age of 84 years, at Seven Oaks General Hospital.

Joyce was born July 14, 1938, in Winnipeg to Joseph and Margaret Lindsay. She grew up in Winnipeg with an older brother and sister and one younger brother.

She married the love of her life Ron Worobey September 1959 and went on to have two children, Rhonda and Ronnie Jr. Her life was full of love and travels. Joyce enjoyed boating and extensive travelling with her family. She lived in Winnipeg, Selkirk and Kelowna. Upon Ron’s retirement they were able to travel extensively and enjoyed many road trips across Canada and the USA in their motor home. After Ron’s passing, she was able to enjoy years in Palm Springs California. There were many trips to Hawaii and cruises. She loved being on the ocean. She lost her husband Ron May 1, 2004, and although she had a full life she missed her true love daily.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Rhonda and special friend Bev and her son Ron (Allison), grandchildren, Carly and Ryan from Tustin, California. She is survived by her sister Diane Dixon (PEI), Joey and Joan Lindsay and predeceased by her parents, special pet Bow as well as her loving husband of 44 years and brother Jake Lindsay.

She enjoyed life and made sure she lived her days to the fullest while she was able to. Upon her health changes the family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, especially 5th floor unit 4 and unit 5 for their amazing care and support. Many thanks for the support, especially to Bev, Joey, and Joan during this difficult time.

Cremation has taken place and as per Joyce’s wishes there will be no service.

Arrangements in care of E.J. Coutu.
