  • I had the good opportunity to play Noon Hour Hockey with Mr Bill Staub and his brother Mr Wallace Staub and several other Hockey players turned businessmen. This was a good experience for me I appreciated Bill and Wallace's presence. Also all others on the ice too. - Posted by: Doug Hall (Noon Hour Hockey player) on: Jul 19, 2023

  • So sorry to hear of Billy's passing, he was a true North Ender who we all looked up to and respected. He had a great Hockey Career in the International Leagues and we were all so proud to read and hear of his accomplishments. Bill was well liked, modest and easy going, loved Baseball and Golf and hanging out at AAC (Arlington Athletic Club) Schoolboy & Moonie's diner & pool hall great times there with our North End Friends. Got to play hockey with Billy later on in some of the beer leagues as well as summer hockey and old timers teams. Great Times. Used to see him many times at the Sal's on Leila and had great times with each visit. A true North End / Manitoba Sport's Legend and proud to say he was my friend, will miss him greatly R.I.P. - Posted by: Ray Wheeler (Friend) on: Jun 28, 2023
