It is with much sorrow and grief that we are announcing the passing of Jordan Sanderson on June 20, 2023 at the age of 40.
He leaves to mourn many family members: his mother, Doreen and husband Mike; his sons, Andrew and Aaron Avanthay-Sanderson; and daughter, Aubrey Sanderson. His siblings: Luke Sanderson; Mark Jr., Jules and Natasha Anderson; Andrew Johnston; Dallas McLean and Stevie-Lee Anderson. There are also many aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention.
Jordan was predeceased by his father, Mark Anderson, who passed away on August 28, 2022.
A wake service will be held at the Deliverance Centre at 1831 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB., on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the House of Prayer in Fairford First Nation.

I am in disbelief my dear friend Doreen lost her boy. I just fond out. He was an awesome kid young man had his good days and bad days like any human being. He babysat my boy Zachary. I seen Jordie for the first time in a picture, when I was 12. A friend of mine went to winter camp with him when they were at St George school together. Eventually I transferred to St. G and met him irl, we were like two peas in a pod, Thick as thieves. I adored him from that point on. Over the years we would lose contact but he'd always find me. I'm 39 now and to lose him just makes the world seem a lot more empty. He was unconditional love and friendship, something I valued so much throughout my life and I will miss beyond words. I am so grateful for the time and memories I have of him. To Jordies family and friends, I'm so incredibly sorry for the loss of Jordan, I only spent a fraction of the time most of you have and the hole his passing has left in my heart is only a fraction I imagine yours is.
