WILLIAM (BILL) GILMOUR
We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Bill Gilmour.
As a very proud member of Breezy Bend Golf Course, most would know him as “Long Ball Gilmour”.
Dad commented once “I may not be the richest man, but there is nobody that has had more fun in life than me”.
Dad loved to hold court, always quick with a joke or a jab, and always loved to laugh.
Dad was extremely proud of his family and would be excited to tell anyone that would listen.
Dad’s passing will leave a very large hole in our family, he was a larger-than-life personality and was adored by his family.
He will be greatly missed by daughter and son-in-law Lisa Gilmour Wollum (Ron); son and daughter-in-law Mike Gilmour (Mary Ann); grandchildren, Stephanie Whitlaw (Tyler), Ryan Gilmour (Ashley) and Olivia Wollum; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Charlotte, Lincoln, Scarlett and Nora.
At Dad’s request there will be no formal gathering.

We have known Bill from his first day in Winnipeg, having been just transferred in by Campbell Soup. He joined Breezy Bend that fall and joined us on a rink for the B B curling season. We had spent many evenings with Bill, both in the city, at our cottage with his two children, and again on golf trips to Florida.. Bill certainly enjoy life to fullest. RIP good friend. - Posted by: Gary &Carol Cribbs (Friend ) on: Jul 03, 2023
