DOROTHY GERMAINE BJORNSON

On June 27, 2023, at the age of 78, our Mother and Amma Dorothy Germaine Bjornson (nee Leach) was reunited at the gates of heaven by her lifelong love Buddy Bjornson. As heartbroken as we all are, we take comfort believing Mom and Dad are together.
Mom leaves behind her son Kevin (Angela) and daughter Theresa (Jason). Amma leaves behind her most special treasures – her grandson Carter (Carrigan) and great-granddaughter Leddy and granddaughter Miya and we cannot forget her beloved fur grand babies, Pepper and Bodhi.

Mom was well known for her limitless talents and took great pride in the exquisite sewing skills, baked treasures, love of entertaining family and friends, numerous flowers and the huge garden they worked on together. However, without doubt, her true passion was Carter and Miya. Amma never missed the opportunity to celebrate every event, whether school or sports and always had to know what they were involved in.

Unfortunately, three years ago mom was diagnosed with dementia and she quickly lost many of her much-loved skills.

A huge and heartfelt thank you goes to Kin Place PCH in Oakbank for making Moms last years as enjoyable as possible. We could not ask for more kind and empathetic staff.

Thank you to everyone for the texts, calls and support during this difficult time.

As per our parents’ wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at a later date.
