Mike, I have so many good memories of you. You were the best big brother 5 siblings could have asked for; you not only set a good example with your kind gentle ways but you were there for me/us in so many ways - you taught me to drive a standard (the first few times having to take over the driving or we would have stayed stranded on the road with all the grinding and popping of the clutch I did with that old 59 Pontiac), you taught me to drive in the 'big' city and before we moved to Winnipeg the many fun trips we had when you drove us and friends to Brandon for shopping, pizza and drive-in movies, and you helped me to find my first car, my '72 Dodge Dart. You were a good brother-in-law to Richard, and a loving and caring uncle to Melissa and Ryan. Over the years you have been one of my closest friends, easy to talk and laugh with, and to give advice when needed, sometimes even when I didn't ask for it! You have left us far too soon and I miss you more than you would ever have dreamt possible! Rest in peace Mike. I love you. - Posted by: Monique (sister) on: Jul 19, 2023

Mike was a kind, gentle, and well respected man. He had an infectious laugh, was always full of knowledge, and was an all around cool guy with his many interests, hobbies, and collections. A story recounted many times in my family is when as a young child, I asked to “grimpe” him. With patience and curiosity, he was able to decode my ‘frenglish’ to understand I wanted to climb up onto his lap (although I was too young to remember it, I can hear his laugh upon recounting the story to the family). He was warm and loving and demonstrated this with my son as well, who loved his “mon oncle Michel”. Although only for a short while, I feel grateful that my sons got to meet and spend time with him. You will remain in our hearts with happy memories like these. You are and will continue to be greatly missed, uncle. Xoxo - Posted by: Melissa Toupin (Niece) on: Jul 15, 2023
