TERENCE (TERRY) JOHN MILLS

September 28, 1936 – July 12, 2023

Comforted by the love of family and friends, Terry passed away at the Grace Hospital on July 12, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

Left to cherish Terry’s life and mourn his passing are his children, Bob (Bobbi), Gillian and Lesley; grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda (Richard) and Kimberly and several nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor and sisters, Barbara and Diane.

Terry had many passions which he enjoyed sharing with those he loved. He often spoke fondly of his prolific flying career which preceded the air force. His destiny was to pilot. Joining the RCAF in 1958, he was promoted to flying instructor during his service overseas. After leaving the service, Terry began his 30-year career with Air Canada in 1966. And because one career wasn’t enough, Terry also had a home building business for many years.

Not far behind flying, lived his passion for golf. A long-time and proud member of Breezy Bend Golf & Country Club pre and post-retirement, Terry took much enjoyment from time spent with friends and family on the links both here and south of the border.

Terry had wonderful friendships that extended beyond just flights and courses. These meaningful connections held a special place in his heart. He cherished them and spoke of them fondly and often.

Flying nor golf, however, could compete with the passion he held for his family. Husband, Dad and Grandpa were the three titles he held with great adoration. He will be dearly missed.

At Dad’s request, there will be no formal gathering. A private service will be held with family members.
