STELLA LALONDE
It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Stella on July 12, 2023, at the age of 100.
The world has lost a wonderful, giving, and caring lady. She was predeceased by her husband William and her daughter Marie. Stella never spent any time in a care home as she was taken care of by her family, in whose arms she passed away. She managed to remain mobile pretty well to the end of her life allowing her to enjoy various activities and be happy. Her granddaughter Candice gave her special care. Stella was a sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She’s gone to be with the angels. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Chris Fotti for his excellent care of Stella in her twilight years.
On July 29,2023 at 1:00 p.m. a service will be held at St. Alphonsus church, located at 341 Munroe Avenue. A private gathering for the family will be held afterwards.

Sending my condolences to all your family. I knew Stella from many years ago. She made the best macaroni and cheese, her fabulous delicious perogies, and her homemade chicken soup. She showed me how to crochet and also made me a beautiful afghan. So many memories of this beautiful, kind lady. - Posted by: Lori Fillion (friend from many years ago) on: Aug 20, 2024

My deepest sympathy to the Lalonde family. I have fond memories of your Mother/Grandmother as well as a beautifully crocheted doily she had once made as an anniversary gift for us. Although it was challenging to stay in touch as we aged, Stella was in my thoughts when I would see her doily.❤️ Sincerely, Doreen Arnal Carman, MB - Posted by: Doreen Arnal (Cousins through marriage) on: Jul 28, 2023

You couldn't ask for a greater Grandmother than my Grandma. Memories of her taking me on the Bus late 60's and early 70's to go Downtown so many times. We would go and have lunch sometimes on the fourth floor of Eaton's, or the Sixth floor of the Bay @ the paddlewheel. We would take photos of us in the picture booths and laugh (those were good times). She was always fun to hang with. Today I eat a lot like her, (walnuts, omega and fish oils, very little meat, and lots of teas with honey of course, and vegetables. I bet because of her daily nutrition combined with keeping active is why she broke a CENTURY. Now she rests with my Grandpa and her daughter my MOM awaiting the resurrection. Love always her 1st grandchild Joey. PS......Sorry for your loss Uncle Richard, and Sisters Aunty Fran, Aunty Kathy & Cousins Curtis, Crystal, & Candice. As well as Theresa, Audra, and Leanne. - Posted by: Joey (Grandson ) on: Jul 24, 2023
