TANNYS LEE SCOTT
With so much sorrow in our hearts, we announce the passing of our dear Tannys Lee Scott, at the age of 70.
Tannys is survived by her husband Norman Dimock and their two children, Alison and Michael (Minnie); and by her dear mother Barbara Scott. She was predeceased by her father James Scott and brother Gregg Scott. Also remembered by her sister-in-law Alice (Gregg-deceased) and niece and nephew, Stephanie and Ryan. As well, her sister-in-law Claudia (George) and brother-in-law Raymond (Ann) and their children.
Tannys grew up in rural Manitoba and after high school graduation moved to Winnipeg where she studied bookkeeping and then obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba. After marriage in 1980, she and Norman came to Ottawa where Tannys worked for many years with Statistics Canada until her retirement in 2012.
In retirement Tannys found her true calling, playing celtic fiddle. Tannys found music good for the soul. When she wasn't playing, she enjoyed exercise classes, coffees and lunch dates with friends, and reading good fiction.
Tannys will be missed for her beautiful smile, her welcoming ways, her soft voice, her kindness, her fine sense of humour, and her gentle and unassuming love for her many dear friends.
At her request there will be no funeral.
Donations may be made to the Ottawa Cancer Society, the Humane Society or any charity of your choice.
