Pamela Koren, born in Winnipeg February 26, 1941 to Hilda and Max Koren, on July 21, 2023, after courageously living with cancer for six years, peacefully exited her final scene in her beloved Montréal.
Pam travelled and lived in Italy and France during early adulthood, becoming fluent in French, Italian and English. Upon return she worked primarily in Winnipeg, lastly at Service Canada. In 1991, bicycle and futon on board, Pam took VIA Rail to Montréal to live out her dream of becoming an actor. Her proudest role was as la grand-mère in Les Trois Accords' vidéo "J'aime ta grand-mère."
Left to mourn her passing are daughter Shelley Saltzman (Vancouver); grandsons, Léo and Émet; sisters, Lorraine Koren and Debbie Nider (Vancouver) and numerous friends in Montréal and Winnipeg. Special gratitude is extended to Dominique Sylvestres and Lucille MacMitchell (Montreal) and to Dennis Persowich (Winnipeg), "the brother she never had."
Pam has been cremated. An intimate memorial for family and neighbours was held July 25 in Montréal.
