On July 28, 2023, Ted Traa passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Regina and Hendrikus, sisters Riek and Willy, and brothers Gerry and Martin. Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cecile, children Ed (Deanna), Sandra (Thomas), Jack (Leslie) and Diane (Jacques). He is also survived by his grandchildren Max, Ben, Shayle, Jackson, Camryn, Danielle, Thea and Trinity. Also remembering Ted are his brothers, sisters, and nieces and nephews.
Dad was a kind man who always made people feel at home. He lived in Winnipeg, Gladstone, Beausejour, and Salmon Arm, making friends in every location. He definitely had the gift of gab and would spend hours visiting with anyone willing to strike up a conversation, tell a joke or talk about the weather. Mom and Dad were a team and spent the majority of their lives in Gladstone running a bakery and a farm at the same time. There was never a dull moment.
Dad lived a full life with so much to tell. This obituary may also be viewed on the Cropo website.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at St. Emile Catholic Church on August 28, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
